   On behalf of the Head of Department of the Biological Sciences Society, the executive of BioSSED wishes to inform all students of the department that on Wednesday 2nd March, 2022 there will be a general cleaning in the department as well as an awareness campaign linked to health concerns and a sustainable environment on campus. Therefore we encourage students from all levels in the department to embark on this task. ​ PROJECT KLIN FBC kicks start today!! The Students’ Union Government through its Ministry Of Health and Sanitation has today, Saturday 12th February 2022 embark on the first phase of PROJECT KLIN FBC.  The need to have a clean learning environment cannot be overemphasized. It is a dismay to note that a University of not less than five Faculties and over 10,000 students can only account for SIX Paid up cleaners. This obviously causes a lapse in the sanitation sector and impliedly makes the environment unfit for students to learn taking into cognizance the use of the gardens by students to study during lunch hours and in between classes.  It is to this end that the Ministry of Health launched this project to help in keeping our noble institution in a state that is decent and fit for purpose. ​     On this day, 16th June 2021, the Biological Sciences Society for Environment and Development (BioSSED) was established. The images above display events of the Pre-Launch of the Society (BioSSED) and also a Launching Ceremony of the Rehabilitation of the Botanical Reserve, Fourah Bay College. As standard protocol demands, an election was held and Mohamed Al-Amin Turay a third year student at the time (Presently a Final year Student) successfully emerged as the President of the Society, followed by Aminata Sesay a current level 3 student was elected as the Vice President of the Society.  A journey to great services and accomplishments.👏 #The_Biological_Sciences_Society_FBC #BioSSED

​   MINISTRY OF HEALTH*  *FBC-SUG*       UNIVERSITY OF SIERRA LEONE*   MOUNT AUREOL*   The Ministry of Health shall officially be implementing Project Klin FBC on the 12th. February, 2022. The project aims at restoring better sanitary conditions as well as an Anti littering campaign on campus. It shall install 20 mini sized waste bins across departments on campus and have a general cleaning across open spaces on campus before the College's Foundation Day. It shall also provide toiletries for selected restroom centres on campus. To achieve this it shall first have a general meeting with Sanitary officers next week and negotiate to have a refuse disposal truck collect the waste gathered on the project's implementation date; Including the huge piles of dirt close to Amphitheater.  *D Ministry Say Welbodi na Gentri!*
